Glass fiber filament is stiffer than the regular filament.

Please note it is very abrasive and hardened steel nozzles are recommended

About ABS

ABS (Acrylo Butadiene Styrene) is a very strong and sturdy filament that is oil based. It is perfect for building LEGO blocks, toys, instruments, automotive trim and car parts.

It comes in many colours, blends and requires a heated bed and enclosed chamber to print with and is often a little more difficult to print with

Best settings for successful printing:

ABS is not biodegradable material. It is not renewable and is requires good ventilation when printing as the off gasses might be quite strong

ABS must be printed on a high temperature heated bed to avoid warping.

Like any 3D printing a well ventilated space is preferred and good storage is the key to a good shelf life of your filament. All our filament is shipped in a vac sealed bag containing a small desiccant satchel.

It is highly recommended to dry the filament before the use. Filament dryers such as Sunlu Fila Dryer and/or Printdry pro are recomended.

Dried filament give the best results.

ABS requires the use of chemicals, such as Acetone for post processing. Sanding and painting is possible but getting a finished and polished look is better with a chemical smoothing agent.

Aurarum ABS is printer agnostic and as such is suitable for all brands including Flashforge, RepRap, Creality, Artillery, MakerBot, Ultimaker, Makergear, Up!, Voron … and many others.
