About PET
PET is a very strong and sturdy filament. It is perfect for building water bottles, automotive trim pieces and car parts. It is also used for producing mechanical parts due to its fatigue resistant properties.
It comes in many colours, blends and requires a heated bed to print with and is often a little more difficult to print with than PLA.
Best settings for successful printing:
Printing / Extrusion temperature | 240 to 280 degrees |
Bed Temperature | 60 to 90 degrees |
Printing Speed | 20-80mm/s |
PET is a highly recyclable material. It is renewable and is requires some ventilation when printing as the off gasses are noticeable.
PET must be printed on a medium temperature heated bed to avoid warping.
